Introduction

The Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR, Regulation (EU) 528/2012) governs the placing on the market and use of biocidal products, which are necessary for the control of organisms that are harmful to human or animal health and for the control of organisms that cause damage to natural or manufactured materials thanks to the active substances contained in them. Moreover, the BPR, lays down rules and procedures for the authorization of biocidal products. This webinar aims to offer insights on how to efficiently plan the authorization of a biocide.

Firstly, a brief overview of the Regulation, outlining its scope and implications is provided. Subsequently, the authorization processes, available under the regulation, along with associated fees and timelines, will be discussed. Following that, we will focus on the importance of planning in advance a biocide product authorization, addressing common issues encountered along the way.

A Q&A session is provided at the end of the webinar, allowing participants to seek clarification on any aspects discussed.
